A story about 4 veteran Navy SEAL on an important mission.
This movie highlighted many lessons which we can derive from such as loyalty, perseverance, trust, ethics and belief.
There’re many sacrificial scenes in this movie and it brought upon to me about the intangible treasure that we come by everyday. Friendship and loyalty.
Ethics came into play when the commander of the 4 man team had to decide whether to kill the 3 hostages because they belonged to the same group as their enemies. If they are set free, they could react with violence or report the situation which jeopardizes their safety and mission. If the other option was chosen, the team can continue with the mission with their safety not compromised. It’s a tough choice to make.
I like the scene when the main lead had to decide whether to trust the commoner who belonged to the same group as the enemy. It showcased the stereotyping mindset which is prevalent in our society where people are judged based on their background. This view is unfair because everyone of us are unique. We think different , act differently and we have a mind of our own. It’s not fair to judge based on background. Luckily for the main lead, he decided to take a leap of faith and was protected by the commoner and his villages. A really touching scene.
Overall, it’s a good movie to catch with your buddies as it’s able to bring out the aspect of brotherhood with a good mix of action. However, there are some scenes which were pretty draggy which might bore the audience. Do note that this movie is M18 and it’s probably due to the violence and realistic bloodshed involved.
The verdict : 3.5/5
