It’s rare to find Roti Jala nowadays but today, I  chanced upon a stall and so it’s a must try since I’ve not tried it before. I love trying new stuffs. Roti Jala is a traditional Malay dish which is popular during the Muslim Fasting Month of Ramadan. It’s lacey and net-like pancake/crepe served with curry. I like the net-like pancake as it tasted like prata. It has a rubbery texture and is not oily. 4 slices of Roti Jala served with chicken curry and a hard-boiled egg cost $3.80.

Next I tried the Cempedak Goreng from this stall. Cempedak belongs to the jackfruit family. It’s a smaller version of the Jackfruit and it taste like fried sweet dough. Oil haters will need to be aware of this delicacy as it’s oily. The price of each Cempedak Goreng is 70 cents.
