THIS IS ONE IMBA EXPERIENCE! Was contemplating whether to take up this job but decided to step out of my comfort zone. It’s quite amusing that I had to put on the costume myself as there should be an assistant. Although the costume was oversized, I managed to put most of them up except for the belt which was too big so I hanged it across my shoulders instead. Middle aged ladies and young kids are more receptive towards mascot as compared to the reaction from middle aged men. One lady even enthusiastically approached me and requested that I do different poses for her. Since Chinese New Year was around the corner and I got this “free” rental of costume, I decided to take some short clips and perhaps convert it into a short video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKH2MJkkyAA) so as to welcome the festive occasion and to dedicate it to everyone! I always believe in social cohesion so I’m hoping that everyone will put in the effort to celebrate such occasions together.
